Two years ago in Australia scientists reported the first successful teleporting of a laser beam encoded with data from one location to another. There is a small downside, it basically involves making a copy which is then transported at the cost of 'losing' the original.

It occurs to me that if we should ever get to the unlikely stage of transporting atoms and then people it is not entirely a thing to be welcomed and that some method would be necessary to prevent unwanted intrusions. Long (and purposefully) lost relatives dropping in at awkward moments, spelling obsessives suddenly appearing over your shoulder and refusing to leave until you'd edited and re-posted your thread.

A wave of unexplained disappearances of confectionary and only the faintest hint of Catsan in the air to give a clue as to who may have took it. Dedicated thread followers will know that the cow with the parasol is far too busy trying to find new batteries for its flashlight at the outer ring of the Galaxy to appear in this post.

So given this glimpse into tomorrow's world now that teleporting is a reality - what price a firewall ?

Oh yeh nearly forgot about Old Crab (sorry) for OC it wouldn't be an issue - he'd use a scuttlecraft

While you all are on the subject of dangerous chemicals, there was a report on the news today (June 17th, 2004) that in California, they are thinking of regulating the amount of pollution caused by 120 lbs. per day, per COW manure, as it is adding dis-stink-ly to the smog problem out there! Must be caused by all that DHMO they swallow daily!

lovesblessing will now shut up about Cows (here anyway! ) and return this highly, uh, well, highly something thread to you all!
on Jun 18, 2004
Oh....they are going to limit manure emissions?.....how.....with a cork?...
on Jun 18, 2004
I don't know Mr. Jafo....I didn't see that part, and I can't get any of the news sites to come up on the comp tonight from Google....I've got the Zone Alarm Pro 5 version on here and it doesn't play fair with unknown sites. I had a problem getting the WC messageboard to show without freezing my whole comp. Fooey! Ah well, maybe if you try google with california cow manure pollution you can get to some of the news....and find out what the solution will be?!

Mr. Yrag....would I cause a problem, if I did that? I signed up for 2 more years of their service, and changed the registration number to the new version....then, it started freaking out on me. I can get to all the rest of WC, downloads, etc, but when I tried to go to the msgboard, it froze the server....and I'm on dial-up, so it was a long freeze! I contacted their support and they told me that I needed to add WC to the exception list and turn on cookies and ad blocking....which, I do, and I can get to the boards...however, it won't let me log into my isp mail service or anything when it is set that way. Do you know if anyone else had any problems with ZA pro 5? And thank you for the help!

lovesblessing apologizes to TJ for "hidejacking" his thread again! Sorry!

OK..for what it's worth (and with apologies to ZA Support), I am a closed beta tester for ZA so I know what your system is doing. Reverting to 4.5 won't in anyway affect your subscription. As a safe guard, make a text file and copy and paste your reg.# and save it...just in case. Now go into Start Menu/All Programs/Zone Labs/uninstall Zone Alarm. Right click on it and it will show as "C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zauninst.exe" change it to "C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zauninst.exe" /clean. (there is a space right before the /clean addition). click apply. Uncheck the start on boot and re-boot into Windows and click on the 'unistall string' that you changed. Reboot . Now install the 4.5 version and it should fill in the reg# for you...if not you have it and can paste it in. If it keeps showing 'pending' then open ZA config/Product info/Registration/Change Reg and delete your name and and re-type it back exactly the same, and it will now show registered.

It's easier to install the 4.5 version in Safe Mode. You can do that and then follow the other Reg. directions after you reboot back to Windows.

Sorry also to the thread Author, so if you (lovesblessing) have any problems with this install start a new thread and I'll see it

Hurray! I'm back without doing a click and shift to get here....no more fancy footwork to get to the boards! Thank you again, Mr.Yrag! I got me courage up, sortof, and gave it a shot in the dark....and it worked!

Many Blessings to you from me and my Holy Cow #1...we appreciate the good help! Have a great weekend....

lovesblessing apologizes to TJ again for mentioning my cow again in this
"no mooooooing allowed" thread! (I only have 1 problem now...I will be pestered by ZA for the new update! Do you 'spose they will be correcting their problem before long, Mr.Yrag? Maybe I should start praying about it now, huh??? Goodnight Irene...and anyone else who is reading this! )
